The 22nd edition of the Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival (POFF) kicked off in Estonia on November 16 and features five films from South Korea this year. Among those are
JANG Woo-jin’s
Winter’s Night in Official Selection and
LEE Chang-dong’s well-traveled
BURNING.
The long-awaited sixth film from Korean master LEE,
BURNING debuted in competition at the Cannes Film Festival to immediate acclaim and has been burning a trail on the festival circuit ever since. The film was recently selected to be Korea’s official submission to the Foreign Language Film category of next year’s Academy Awards.
POFF is scheduled to run until December 2.
