The Korean Film Council Establishes film policies and supports the overall film production and distribution to bolster a strong foundation for Korean films sustainable growth and to help Korean people enjoy life full of culture through films. In addition, with a wide array of policies and initiatives in place, KOFIC helps more Korean films be created and appreciated by audiences within and without Korea through our industry-relevant research studios. Education and training programs, and overseas exchanges, and more.

Basis & Purpose

KOFIC is a public institution under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the ROK government established to enhance the quality of Korean films and promote the film industry in accordance with the Promotion of the Motion Pictures and Video Products Act Article 4.
