Introduction

Gangwon-do is located in the mid-eastern part of the Korean Peninsula and is divided into two areas, Yeongdong and Yeongseo, by the Taebaek Mountains running along the eastern part of the peninsula. Also it faces coastline over the eastern border. As Gangwon-do has abundant natural scenery and mountainous terrain, various location for film production is possible by making use of these geographical features. Since the establishment in 2011, Gangwon Film Commission (GFC) supports filming with the systematic support of Gangwon Art & Culture Foundation.
