So-ee decides to prepare boiled mackerel in soy sauce with spices in order to please her boyfriend's mother who is coming to Seoul in two days. But So-ee does not know the first thing about mackerels. She finally gets some help from the fish shop lady, but the market people intrude into So-ee's cooking. They are all on bad terms with each other and their discord becomes deeper and deeper because of Soi's boiled mackerel
