SIFF(Seoul Independent Film Festival) is a competitive festival presenting a large variety of independent films made during the year. The competitions are open to any kind of film, regardless of theme, format and genre. Through the festival.

Short Competition Main competition section for short films.

Feature Competition Main competition section for experimental and bold feature independent films.

New Choice Competition section of short & feature films from debuting directors who have made no more than one feature film before.

Festival Choice Non-competitive section intented to represent the whole spectrum of the year's independent filmmaking screne through a selection of new films and remarkable works from renowned filmmakers.

Indie-Film Archive Restrospective section showing digitally restaured versions of classic independent films.

International Invitation Non-competitive section showcasing foreign indie films with the aim to inspire Korean filmmakers.

Local Cinema A special section focused on the film directors of one of Korea's regions.

CGK Best Cinematography Award: Cash prize of KRW 3,000,000 and a trophy awarded to the best director of photography in the films of the Feature Competition and Short Competition.

SIFF Committee Award: Cash prize of KRW 2,000,000 and a trophy awarded by the SIFF organization committee to a film screened at the festival.
